Putting the small flat rubber pieces on the under-side of the ruler solved that problem. Make sure these pieces are quite flat, not those that are about 1/4" thick--some are really flat. They sell them at the hardware store to prevent things from scratching wood tables and such. Dritz sells Quilter's Slip 'N Grips that is sticky on one side and sand paper gritty on the other for this purpose. Those work well, too.

I love rotary cutters! Don't give up on them yet. I use a inexpensive cutting table that collapses down to ten inches wide by 32 inches long.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-199378074396135472.post-38585115480158611722011-09-11T11:23:27.766-07:002011-09-11T11:23:27.766-07:00Oh thats impetuous alright! We can put a man on the moon, but they can't invent a blade that stays sharp? ;)Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17177845442961863307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-199378074396135472.post-56433882397222331722011-08-29T00:23:35.455-07:002011-08-29T00:23:35.455-07:00I stick to scissors too. The times I've used a rotary cutter, it very rarely follows the path of the ruler. Never figured out why... Maybe it's possessed :)Nichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16299018618298513874noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-199378074396135472.post-19498672608978212362011-08-28T14:32:36.732-07:002011-08-28T14:32:36.732-07:00You do what works for you - love Parisville! You do what works for you - love Parisville!Annabellahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02806122680540977875noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-199378074396135472.post-61565056401012714892011-08-28T13:07:17.253-07:002011-08-28T13:07:17.253-07:00Impetuous is always more fun than sticking to the ...Impetuous is always more fun than sticking to the rules! I have issues making both scissors and rotary cutters go straight. Not sure why.
